We have prepared useful information here for you about the material of WPC and the construction of our products.

Interesting facts about WPC

The majority of our products are made from WPC, a material with many excellent properties and which has convinced us completely with its durability, versatility and topicality.

WPC is the term for Wood Plastic Composite, a composite of wood and plastic. Our WPC generally consists of approx. 60% wood and approx. 40% plastic combined to form a durable and stable material. The material is ideally suited for products for outdoor areas e.g. decking boards, fences or summer houses. WPC is very robust through the combination of plastic and wood and withstands the elements better than wood. With these properties it is the ideal material for our privacy protection fencing and decking boards.

Our products consist of approx. 60% wood fibre/wood flour. Wood is a natural material and for this reason there may be slight colour deviations despite the consistent processing and addition of colour agents. This does not constitute grounds for complaint.

In addition to this, WPC products offer ecological benefits as the wood component is won from wood fibres that are produced for example from furniture production and would otherwise be disposed of. The plastic is also recycled for the most part. Our WPC is FSC® certified.

Durability of WPC
Boards or fences last for up to 30 years. A distinction must be made here between solid WPC elements and lighter hollow chamber elements, or whether the surface of the WPC was additionally co-extruded. Massive co-ex WPC lasts the longest as the surface has been refined through an additional layer of pure plastic and is thus even more resistant to external influences. Hollow profiles are particularly suitable for privacy protection fences through their lighter weight and have a slightly shorter lifespan.

Caring for WPC
Dirt and dust can also settle on WPC, providing a breeding ground for moss, algae and fungus. Coarse dirt can be easily removed with a broom, whereas finer films such as environmental dust or pollen are better removed with warm soapy water and a brush.

Tips and tricks

We have put together a few tips and tricks for easy installation of our products.

Whether fencing or decking boards – all our WPC products entail different handling during planning and installation. We would like to inform you here about the first steps. Our installation instructions will give you further important information. Our products consist of approx. 60% wood fibres/wood flour. Wood is a natural material and for this reason there may be slight colour deviations despite the consistent processing and addition of colour agents. This does not constitute grounds for complaint.

Transport, storage and mounting of fence panels
So that you can be pleased about an optimal look of your fence or patio after installation, please make sure that before mounting you store all prefabricated fencing in standing and stack fencing in lying, in a dry place, protected from sunlight and at the same temperature as the installation place outside. This helps the WPC elements to acclimatize, thus avoiding unfavourable tension.

A shared load is half the load
Work in twos. This makes handling easier and installation more enjoyable, and four eyes are better than two!

Suitable ground
With our fences, it is the firm and secure stand that counts. With our boarding it is level ground. In addition, the planks are laid at a slight slope (1-2%), so that moisture can drain off. Sufficient ventilation beneath the boards is equally important in order to avoid a build-up of damp.

Mounting posts with a WPC core
It is very important that the posts are set exactly vertical and at the right height before you begin mounting the fence elements. This lays the foundation for an exact installation and a professional appearance of your privacy protection fence.

Posts – screwed on or set in concrete?
Our posts can be screwed on to a firm ground surface or set in concrete as required. Ask a specialist if necessary.

Legal aspects
